Shattered Gods (Dark Olympus, #10)(89)

This series wouldn’t be what it is without the partnership with Mary Altman. You have continually pressed me to go harder, to take risks, to be absolutely fearless in every element of these books. I floated the idea of adding Atalanta to the mix, and you responded GIMME, which was all I needed to go full throttle. I still think about our conversation at BookBash 2024 when you smiled sweetly and asked me who was going to die in this book. Even nine books in, part of me was shying away from making those hard calls, and you were right! It had to happen. Thank you for never letting me take the easy way out!

This series has had several publicists over the course of its release schedule, but I have to credit Pam Jaffee with helping get every book you worked on into the hands it needed to be in. You’ve endlessly championed this series, and we wouldn’t have made it here without you!

Thank you to the team at Sourcebooks: Nia Saxon, Stephanie Gafron, Laura Boren, Michelle Wozny, Emma Grant, Patience Bramlett, Jessica Thelander, India Hunter, and Angela Craft.

My endless gratitude to every single bookseller, librarian, and reader who recommended this series to your patrons and followers. Word of mouth is more responsible for this series’ success than anything my publisher could have done on their own—and certainly more than I could have as a single voice on the internet. Thank you for loving these books and talking about them. THANK YOU.

Special shout-out to my Patreon members for knowing who [REDACTED] was for ages and ages and never letting a peep escape. You keep secrets significantly more effectively than I do! I appreciate you and your support and your endless enthusiasm!

I wouldn’t have managed to get through how intimidated I was to write this final book without the support and belief of Jenny Nordbak, Nisha Sharma, Andie J. Christopher, Asa Maria Bradley, and Hilary Brady. Each of you cheered me on and had no doubts I could pull this off, even when I was doubting myself.

It’s often not easy living with a neurodivergent creative, but my family holds nearly endless patience for things forgotten, conversations trailed off as I get distracted, and the fact that the laundry is certainly never done if it’s my responsibility. I love you, my chaos monsters, B, C, and M.

Last, but never least, Tim. You continue to make all the love interests I write pale by comparison. You have never once doubted that “Hey, babe, you’re kind of a big deal.” It doesn’t matter what the goalpost is or how absurdly far from my current position because you’re right behind me going “You can do it.” There are dozens of middle-aged white dudes buying books about dragons with two peens because you told them they should. I love you so fucking much.
