Carnage Island (Reject Island)
Lexi C. Foss
To Matt, this dream wouldn’t be possible without you.
Thank you for being my fated mate.
Welcome to Carnage Island.
Home of brutal chaos.
Blood and tears.
And nefarious schemes.
A half-breed.
A reject.
A wolf without a mate.
My family doesn't want me.
My alpha disowned me.
And my mate rejected me.
So I’ve just been given a new pack assignment.
Carnage Island.
Home to the worst of wolf kind.
Vicious. Cruel beasts. Wicked deeds.
I’m not one of them.
But I’m not a Nantahala Wolf either.
I’m something distinctly other; an Omega trapped in an Alpha’s skin.
One step toward my fate, and all the males turn their heads.
I’m fresh meat.
Property to be claimed.
Hide and seek is now a game of life and death.
With claws and teeth.
And malice and pain.
Only the strongest will survive.
Enter at your own peril.
Author’s Note: This is a dark shifter story with omegaverse undertones. Three Alpha males, one Omega female. There will be biting and violence because these Alphas will stop at nothing to protect their mate. And she’ll claim them back just as fiercely.
Oh, wolves. They make my heart happy. I love their brutality, fierceness, and that underlying animalistic passion that burns the pages.
Carnage Island has all of that.
There are also Omegaverse vibes in this novel, which means there may be some scenes of dubious consent that can make a reader uncomfortable. There’s violence as well. However, these Alphas are heavy on the worship vibes. Once they sink their teeth into Clove, they don’t let go. And honestly, she’s not all that keen on letting them go either.
So while there are Omegaverse undertones, this book may come off as a little “sweet” to those who love brutal Alphas who bend their Omega without remorse. There are hints of that here, but it’s not nearly as dark as some of my other worlds. If you’re craving a bit more bite, and stronger themes of dubious consent, I would check out Andorra Sector.
But if you’re in the mood for something that blends the dark with the light, flip the page.
There will be knotting.
There will be nesting.
There will be chaos.
These Alphas are lethal and they’ll do anything to avenge and protect their little Omega.
And oh dear moon, they absolutely love to bite…
High Pack Notice: All rejects must report to Wolfe Island for immediate processing and island assignment.
Here’s the thing they don’t tell you about this “reject” assignment—not all rejects have to report to Wolfe Island for assignment.
Alphas, for example, are at the top of the hierarchy and therefore immune. They’re allowed to choose if they want to mate or not. Just like they’re allowed to choose if they go to their respective Reject Island or remain with their packs.
However, their rejects always go to Wolfe Island for pack reassignment.
While the Alphas typically choose to remain with their original packs.
It’s not that way in all wolves, but it’s certainly a standard for most of them.
It’s fucked up. Cruel. And absolutely corrupt.
Of course, the Elders won’t admit that. They sit on their pretty thrones in Wolfe Island making all the rules.
But I’ll let you in on a secret: Carnage Island? Yeah, it’s not under their control at all. They just think we obey because we’re so far out in the ocean that we have no other choice. They also assume we’re reliant on them for the minimal resources they provide, thus ensuring we behave out here.
And they believe they sent me here as some sort of punishment for my crimes.
As though I would let anyone ever tell me what to do.
Those Elder idiots don’t realize that their flawed perception of our location allows us to prosper without their notice. Half of my wolves here aren’t rejects at all, but soldiers preparing for the ultimate revenge.
Not with the Elders—I honestly give two fucks about their penchant for regulation and pack assignment.
No. What I care about is how I’ve been personally wronged. How my pack has been painted as the enemy in a battle we never actually wanted to join.
But we’re all in now.
The Santeetlah Pack and Nantahala Pack will pay for their crimes.
In blood.
Because the Black Mountain Pack is coming for them.
And our enemies just gave me the perfect weapon to use in our fight.
A female of mixed origins.
My pretty petite wolf.
