Melt For Us(Holiday Masked Men #2)(23)

Author:Molly Doyle

“Great. No parking,” Sarah dryly mumbles, before pulling into a spot on the grass. “This will do.”

“This is insane.”

“They have so many spare rooms in this house; usually people just crash here,” she says, putting the car in park before checking her phone. “Wendy texted me. They’re here.”

Entering the house, a large, elegant entryway immediately welcomes us. There are tall ceilings, and two beautiful, spiral staircases, which are wrapped with garland and lights. There’s also by far the biggest Christmas tree I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m left in awe as we make our way further inside, until something catches my wrist.

Spinning me around, I’m suddenly pulled against a firm chest.

“Excuse me,” I rush out, stepping back, until his neck tattoos give him away. “Damien,” I gasp, smiling.

He crookedly grins, bringing me closer. “You look stunning, Quinn,” he seductively breathes.

My heart flutters while I study his black masquerade mask, sharp, tailored suit, and slicked-back hair. “Thank you,” I sheepishly murmur, breathing in the intoxicating scent of his cologne. He always smells so good. I can’t get enough.

My head spins, and my knees grow weak.

“Wow,” Jensen says, stepping forward.

His gaze slowly travels down my breasts, sparkling black dress, and legs, before he locks his eyes with mine.

“You clean up really nice,” I tell him, before turning to Micah, realizing they’re all wearing the same black masquerade mask. “You all do.”

“You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever laid my eyes on,” Micah says, pressing his lips against the back of my hand. “Now remind me. How did we manage to get so lucky?”

Damien grins.

Jensen smiles, his intense eyes fixated on mine.

And Micah simply stares, gawking at me in silence.

The way they make me feel is out of this world.

Sarah unexpectedly steps beside me, locking her arm with mine. “There you are,” she says, enthusiastically. “I kept on walking and then realized you weren’t still with me.”

“No big deal.”

“Damien,” she purrs, looking him over.

He nods once, draping his arm around my waist. “Sarah.”

“I need a drink,” Jensen lets out, leading us down the hall.

It’s nearly impossible to tell who anyone is, as the beautiful masks seem to hide everyone’s identity. As we make our way further inside the party, everything becomes louder. There’s chatter amongst guests, shouts of excitement from drinking games, laughter, and great music bursting through the speakers.

“I’m going to find the girls,” Sarah tells me. “Or do you want to come with?”

Micah shakes his head. “We got her.”

With that, she scurries away.

Damien and Jensen swiftly grab four champagne glasses off a platter from a server passing by. Accepting the glass from Damien, we raise a toast.

“To never looking back,” Damien lets out. “And only looking forward.”

Clink.

CHAPTER 8

The music blares through the surround sound speakers as everyone fills the dance floor. The energy is high, and the expensive champagne hits me at the perfect time. Kicking off my heels and pushing them off to the side, I grab Jensen’s wrist, guiding him toward the large crowd of people. Dancing wildly, and singing loudly, we let loose and have the time of our lives.
