The Words(108)

Author:Ashley Jade & A. Jade

He thrusts faster, hitting a spot that makes me mewl and moan like a feral animal in heat. I writhe against him, demanding more.

He gives me what I want and then some. Every ruthless snap of his hips sends another bolt of pleasure whipping through me until it reaches a crest.

My orgasm is so potent, so severe it takes hold of me and doesn’t let go until I’m crying out his name.

With a harsh grunt, he spins me around and seats me on the table.

If I thought his thrusts were vicious before, it has nothing on right now. Hand squeezing my throat, he takes what he wants from me…and I spread my thighs wider, letting him.

Pleasure contorts his face and a deep throaty sound tears out of him…

Then his mouth crashes against mine.

His kiss is so intense, so consuming, I lose the ability to breathe.

Phoenix takes my mouth like an enemy conquering his opponent.

Like he’s won.

I swallow his savage groan as he pumps inside me one last time before pulling out. He bites my lip hard enough to draw blood as a stream of warm liquid seeps into the fabric of my shirt.

I’m dizzy when we finally break apart. All the thoughts I forced myself to ignore before come rushing back with a vengeance, sobering me.

Scrambling off the table, I adjust my skirt while he tucks himself back into his jeans.

Voices in the distance send a whoosh of panic spiraling through me. I turn so I can run to the bunks, but Phoenix fists the back of my shirt, pulling me flush against him.

He slips his hand between my legs, gathering the remnants of my orgasm on his fingers. “I told you the next time I fucked you, it would end with you coming all over my cock.”

Regret pinches my chest as I twist out of his hold. “That was a one-time thing.”

Now that we got it out of our system, we can go back to hating one another.

His lips curve in an arrogant smirk as he licks his fingers clean. “Liar.”

CHAPTER 46

LENNON

I close my eyes as “She Hates Me” by Puddle of Mudd blasts through my new earbuds.

I’m thankful we’re on the bus because not only do I get to sleep, I can easily avoid both Phoenix and George.

I’m mouthing the lyrics and drumming my fingers to the beat when my bunk curtain is yanked open.

“What—”

Skylar pulls my earbuds out. “Get ready, sleepyhead. We’re going out tonight.”

Ugh. George’s birthday is today.

It’s yet another reason I’ve been avoiding him like the plague.

Telling someone you’re not into them when they’re really into you is harsh enough. Telling them on their birthday? That’s straight up heartless.

“I’m gonna hang back.” I clutch my stomach. “My period cramps are killer.”

“TMI, Lennon,” Storm grunts from the bunk above mine.

Skylar raises a brow. “That’s weird. You bought us snacks and tampons ten days ago.”

Dammit. That’s the last time I go on a food run for Miss Nosy Pants.

“Even more TMI,” Storm mutters.

“I…you don’t know my cycle, Skylar.”

“I don’t want to know your cycle either,” Storm bellows.

Making a fist, I strike the top of my bunk. “Then put your headphones on.”

Skylar folds her arms over her chest. “Everyone knows girls’ cycles sync up in close quarters.”

I stay silent, which only makes detective Skylar more suspicious. “You wouldn’t be hiding out because something happened with you and Phoenix, would you?”

I feign innocence because anything I say can be used against me. “Nothing happened between me and Phoenix.”

Above me, Storm snorts.

I make a mental note to buy the snoop a pair of noise-canceling headphones.

“In that case, it’s your man’s birthday. It’s pretty much your duty to be there.” Walking over to her own bunk, she pops open her suitcase. “Besides, the club we’re going to is awesome. You have to come.”

“Can’t.” I sit up in bed. “I don’t have any fancy clothes.”

My only nice outfit now has a cum stain on it.

Skylar doesn’t take no for an answer, though because she pulls out a tiny black dress. “You’re in luck. Your new bestie has lots of fancy clothes.” Her eyes narrow. “But touch my shoes and I’ll peel your skin off with a rusty box cutter.”

Yikes. Fortunately, I won’t be touching her shoes. Or her clothes.

I couldn’t even if I wanted to.

“I appreciate it, but you’re like a size two. There’s no way that dress or anything else of yours will fit me.”
