Through My Window (Hidalgos #1)(97)

Author:Ariana Godoy

Ares pounces on me, forcing me back in my seat, without separating his mouth from mine. He uses the lever to push my seat back, and moves from his seat to mine, getting completely on top of me. I’m amazed at his ability to do that so quickly. His legs stay between mine, spreading them apart, and I’m glad I have leggings on under my fall dress, because he pulls it up to my hips, exposing me.

He presses his body against mine and I can feel how hard he is through his pants. His mouth leaves mine to attack my neck. I stare up at the roof of the car as he devours the skin of my neck and moves down to my chest, his clumsy hands pulling down the straps of my dress.

Going against everything I’m feeling right now, I put my hands on his shoulders.

“Ares, no.”

He lifts his head, his desire-filled blue eyes meet mine, and my self-control wavers. His chest rises and falls with his accelerated breathing. He gives me a warm smile.

“Okay.”

His mouth finds mine again, but this time softly and tenderly. I smile against his lips, and mutter: “vanilla latte.”

He pulls away from me.

“What?”

“The coffee you had.”

Ares smiles back at me, and he’s so fucking gorgeous. He gestures at his pants.

“Do you still think this is not torture?”

“Just a little.”

“Sure, it’s fine with me, though,” he runs the back of his hand across my cheek. “It will only make it much more intense the moment when you give yourself to me again.”

“You sound pretty sure that’s going to happen.”

“I am.” His confidence has always been sexy to me. “You think I don’t know how wet you are right now?”

“Ares . . .”

“Do you remember how good it feels when I’m inside you? That touch, that friction that drives you crazy and makes you beg me for more.”

“God . . .” I put my hands on his chest. “Stop talking like that.”

“You’re all red.” Ares grins and returns to his seat. “I also have the right to torture you.”

“Idiot,” I mutter, regaining my composure. “I gotta go.”

I open the door, and I’m not surprised at how shaky my hand is. I get out.

“Good night,” I say and close the door behind me.

Ares lowers the car window.

“Hey, Witch.”

I look back at him.

“When you touch yourself tonight, moan my name loudly,” I stop breathing, and he winks at me. “I’ll do the same, thinking of you.”

The car window goes up and he drives away, leaving me with my mouth open.

Stupid, perverted, Greek god!

FORTY-TWO

The Halloween Party

“You look spectacular.”

“I feel spectacular,” I answer with a big smile on my face as I look at myself in the mirror. I’m the type of person who sometimes feels pretty, sometimes average, and sometimes just awful. It’s so strange. It’s like I have no exact concept of what I look like, and it doesn’t help that beauty can be so subjective.

“I must say, that costume is the best decision you’ve made in a while,” Dani continues, outlining her eyebrows in front of the small mirror in her hands.

We’re getting ready to go out tonight for Halloween. Gregory invited me that night at the club, but I still waited for Ares to invite me himself. It wasn’t hard to choose my costume. Tonight, I’m a witch. My costume consists of a strapless black dress, tight at the top but loose from the waist down, reaching to the middle of my thighs, a necklace with a red pendant, black gloves, long boots of the same color, and, of course, a big hat.

Dani has taken care of my makeup: dark eyeshadow, perfectly applied black eyeliner, and red lipstick. I feel supersexy. Once I convinced her to go with me, she decided on a wicked kitty costume, ears and all.

“I can’t believe I’m going with you,” she mutters, getting up.

“Ares told me to bring you.” It’s true, Ares told me to bring Dani. It was a group outing, and he thought it would be fair to have one of my friends with me. “Besides, Apolo will be there for sure.”

“Why does it matter if he’s there?” she asks.

I sigh. I know Dani doesn’t like to admit her weaknesses, or if she likes someone a lot.

“You don’t have to lie to me. I know you’re hurt.”

“Pfff,” she snorts, “please, he and I had nothing.”

“But you were just starting something when he suddenly stopped texting you,” I reply. “And that’s driving you crazy, you’re not used to a guy getting away from you.”
