Night Witch (Weatherstone College, #2)(92)
Famous and feared, which allowed us to remain unaccosted wherever we went.
It was nice.
The crowd screamed for so long I wondered how they still had voices, but eventually they let the band return to their instruments and finish their set. When they walked offstage, the audience called for an encore for a solid twenty minutes. To no avail.
Backstage, Logan scooped me into his arms. Unlike the girls, I was dressed in tight black jeans, a red corset top, and Logan’s leather jacket, so I flashed no one when I wrapped my legs around his waist. He was sweaty, but I didn’t care. I hugged his hard body as close as I could get. “You were incredible,” I said, pressing kisses all over his face before I found his lips.
A rumble rocked his chest, and I found myself slammed against a nearby wall as he demanded entry to my mouth. When I parted my lips, his tongue swept across mine, and he controlled and dominated the kiss until I was panting and arching, needing relief.
“I love you so fucking much, mate,” he growled, his adrenaline high enough that I could feel his power zapping through our bond. “I need to be inside you. Right. Fucking. Now.”
My moan wasn’t as soft as I thought, but no one was paying attention to us. Our best friends were all wrapped up in each other, and the crew was busy clearing the stage. “Let’s get out of here,” I rasped, all the moisture in my body flooding lower, leaving my mouth dry. The desire I felt for Logan was borderline unbearable. I was going to lose control if he didn’t sate this need soon.
“We’re out,” he called to the others, his piercing gaze never leaving my face.
Our friends catcalled after us. “We’ll be at the farmhouse tomorrow for breakfast,” Tobias shouted. “Nice and early.”
Logan sent him flying into the wall with a well-placed zap of energy, moving so fast there was no chance of Tobias countering. “Okay, lunchtime,” he groaned as Logan took us into a back room. “Stay safe, kids.”
Anything else he had to say was cut off by the door closing. Logan’s grip on my thighs tightened as he pulled me flush against his hard length. “You’re the greatest magic I’ve ever known,” he whispered against my cheek, his energy flooding me until I temporarily forgot the English language.
“Mine. Forever,” I mumbled against his mouth, and he had me in such a daze I missed our transport magic arriving and the journey through to our home.
The lavender farm had felt like home from the first time I’d stepped through these gates.
Tonight, Misti, our massive guard cat, padded down to us from where she’d been waiting on the front porch, and I’d never felt such comfort.
Logan had given me so much. Everything, really.
Tonight, we would christen every room in our house. Again.
If this was how I got to live the rest of my life, I’d gladly die over and over.
I’d die for one more second with my mate.
Just like this.

Acknowledgments
Wow. I’m sitting here staring at that last word, wondering how I can ever let Paisley and Logan go. Not only them, but the rest of this world and the supporting characters. I love them all. I dream about them so often that I wonder if maybe they did leave a little of their magic in these pages.
Thank you to everyone who shared and loved on this series during the past twelve-plus months. All of the bloggers, readers, influencers, and anyone else in the amazing book community. You made my day every time I saw your posts and reels and beautiful smiling faces. I wouldn’t be here without your amazing support, and I need you to know just how grateful I am.
Thank you to my incredible publishing team at MIRA and HarperCollins. Especially Cat Clyne, who honestly has shown so much faith and belief in my work. She picked this series up from a synopsis and three chapters. THREE CHAPTERS. She never really knew how this would play out in full, and since I handed her books one and two at the same time (written back to back), she just had to trust that I wouldn’t screw up the story, HAH! Her faith in me means everything. You’re the best, Cat, and I hope to have many more years working with you.
Thank you to my agents, Flavia Viotti and Meire Dias, at Bookcase Literary Agency. You’re always in my corner, and I wouldn’t have been able to make Weatherstone College happen without your support.
Thank you to the amazing editors, proofers, art director Mary Luna and cover artist Franziska Stern, Ambur Hostyn of the marketing team, publicists, and the many others who work tirelessly behind the scenes to bring these books to life. The deluxe editions are some of my favorites, and I’m in awe of your talents. An extra special thanks to my PA, Jane Catherine, who was such an enthusiastic supporter of this book and world.
Thank you to my husband, as always, for loving me unconditionally, supporting me in every way he can, and keeping me from spiraling when everything gets to be too much. I couldn’t do this without you. I love you eternally. Thank you to my two daughters, who are the magic in my world. Your mum loves you more than life, and I would destroy worlds for you.
Until next time, which hopefully won’t be too long, sending you all the hugs and sexy book boyfriends.
Love,
Jaymin
