The Words(115)

Author:Ashley Jade & A. Jade

There never will be.

I knew from the first second I laid eyes on him that he was special…and that hasn’t changed.

My stomach flutters when he trails his fingers up the side of my neck and our gazes collide.

I feel the contact everywhere.

His voice is such a low rasp I almost don’t hear it. “I miss you.”

Before I can process what he’s saying, his mouth is on mine, claiming me.

My pulse accelerates when he slams me against the wall, his hands roaming over every part of my body and his erection digging into my stomach.

A moan escapes when he shoves his hand inside my pants and rubs his knuckle against the damp crotch of my panties. “You’re always so wet for me.”

I’m about to remind him that half the women in the world are always wet for him—and that’s an underestimation—but he slips a finger inside me.

“Our rooms are only two more floors up.”

Provided he didn’t break the elevator by pressing the emergency button.

He starts pumping his fingers. “I want you to come for me right here.”

Oh god.

My head falls back and I close my eyes.

“Have you showered since the last time I fucked you?”

The last time he fucked me was in the car earlier while we were driving to sound check…and then after that, we grabbed food with everyone before the concert.

“No.” My cheeks heat with embarrassment. Do I smell? Do I feel grimy? “There was no time—”

“Good. Then your pussy is still full of my cum.”

On a ragged breath, Phoenix removes his finger and smears the wetness on my lips. “Open.”

When I do, he slides them inside my mouth, making me taste us.

My heart rate kicks up because the move is so dirty.

“Suck.”

God help me, because I listen.

“Do you like feeling my cum drip out of you after I fuck you?”

I nod.

Even though I’m on birth control, I’ve never had sex without a condom before that night at the club.

And the only reason I told him to cum inside me then was because I didn’t want the asshole to stain the dress Skylar let me borrow.

And now? Well…you can’t unring a bell.

He slips his fingers out of my mouth and shoves them inside me. “Do you like how messy it makes your panties?”

Jesus.

Inching closer, he licks my bottom lip and his movements speed up. “Do you—”

The elevator comes to life with a great big jolt.

What the hell? Isn’t someone supposed to determine what the emergency is first?

Phoenix barely has time to take his hand out of my pants before the elevator doors are opening.

Anxiety floods my stomach when I see Chandler standing there.

He regards Phoenix. “Ah. There you are. I’ve been knocking on your door for the past five minutes.”

“Problem with the elevator,” we say in unison.

He looks between us before returning his attention to Phoenix. “Vic’s gonna have his secretary overnight the contract so you and the rest of the guys can sign it.”

“I’m not signing anything until I look over the proposal and schedule.”

At that, Chandler lets out an expansive sigh. “I gave it to you as soon as the concert ended. You had plenty of time to read it.”

Phoenix’s jaw tightens. “I—”

“It’s my fault,” I interject. “I kept nagging him about going to therapy on the ride home.”

Chandler makes a face. “He is a rock star. You needn’t hold him close to your bosom and nurse him.”

He’s a fucking person I want to yell back, but Phoenix clears his throat.

“He is standing right here. I’ll look it over tonight.”

“Fine.” Chandler pulls his phone out of his pocket and presses the button for the elevator. “I’m heading to bed. Good show tonight.”

Neither of us says a word.

“Lennon?” he barks as the doors open.

“Yeah?”

“We pay you to keep him out of trouble, not keep him from his obligations. Stick to your job description.”

I’m glad he goes into the elevator after that so he can’t see the giant middle finger I’m giving him.

“I see what you mean about them treating you like a puppet,” I tell Phoenix as we walk down the hall to our rooms.

He laughs, but it’s devoid of humor. “Chandler’s actually the most decent one out of all of them.”

It doesn’t feel right. Chandler said it himself. He’s a rock star. Therefore, he should be the one calling the shots.
