Bittersweet Memories (Off-Limits #4)(118)

Author:Catharina Maura

“Silas,” I warn. “I’m going to kill you. I’m seriously going to kill you.”

He chuckles and slams into me, finally giving me what I want. A loud moan escapes my lips, and Si wraps one hand around my lips, keeping the other on my hip. He fucks me like that, and everything fades away as I chase a high.

“Four minutes,” he reminds me, and I try my hardest to refocus on the code I’m trying to write, when all I want to do is come for him.

The way he’s got his hand wrapped over my lips has him pulling my head back, my back arched. I can’t imagine what we look like right now. I’m bent over his desk, his thick cock thrusting into me and his fingers silencing me.

I grit my teeth and continue to type, praying to God any of what I’m typing is what I’m hoping it is. I can’t think straight when he’s touching me like that, and he knows it.

Si moves his hand away from my hip to my pussy, his thumb brushing over my clit as he fucks me from behind. He flicks my clit along with every stroke, and within seconds, I’m coming for him, his hand silencing my moans.

Wave after wave of pleasure rocks my body as Silas increases the pace, fucking me harder, his strokes stronger, deeper. Moments after my orgasm subsides, he comes deep inside me, my name on his lips. “Oh God, Alanna,” he moans.

He leans over me and hugs me from behind, the two of us leaning against his desk, still intimately connected. I smile as he presses a kiss to the back of my neck, setting my restless heart at ease. “I don’t know what’s got you so worried today, my love. Just know that you’re the only one I want. You always will be. You’re it for me, Alanna. Forever.”

Silas slips out of me and grabs a paper napkin from his desk drawer, cleaning me up before pulling me upright. He turns me around and wraps his arms around me, his eyes on me. “You’re all I’ve ever wanted,” he promises. “You always will be.”

The sincerity in his gaze startles me, and I rise to my tiptoes to kiss him, unsure what to say. How did he know I was feeling insecure?

Silas kisses me tenderly, taking his time with me. His touch takes away all of my worries and cements my decision. I don’t care who Ray is. I’m taking every part of Si that used to belong to her, and I’m never letting go.

Si pulls away and presses his lips to my forehead, his touch lingering as he moves to my neck next. “You’re out of time,” he whispers.

I chuckle as I pull away from him and straighten my clothes before walking toward his door. I pause halfway through and turn back to face him. “Check the code,” I tell him.

His eyes widen, and I smirk at him. Who does he think I am? This girl he can’t seem to forget… there’s no way she’s as compatible with him as I am. No way in hell.

Chapter Sixty-Four

Alanna

I smile to myself as I fold the last paper crane. It took me a few weeks of waking up early and carefully sneaking around the house, but I’ve managed to fold a thousand little origami cranes for Silas. It still doesn’t measure up to everything he’s done for me, and the way he celebrated my birthday with me, but I hope it at least shows him my sincerity.

I just hope he won’t find it silly. It’s hard to find a present for someone who can afford nearly anything, but I hope that if nothing else, this will at least make him smile.

I’m nervous when I hear the sound of the car lift and glance at the cranes I’ve strung on thread and hung all over the living room. Now that I hear him coming up, I’m suddenly second-guessing myself. He might hate the mess I’ve made, and he might find me childish. Was this a bad idea, after all?

Silas steps out of the car and smiles when he sees me, but then he looks up at the origami birds and freezes. “Paper cranes?” he asks, his voice carrying a hint of uncertainty.

“One thousand of them.” My voice falters, and I clear my throat. “Ever since my birthday, I’ve been wanting to thank you, but words didn’t seem enough. I can’t remember where, but I once heard that folding a thousand origami cranes will grant you a wish. You already have everything you could possibly want, so I thought…”

He walks up to me, his gaze filled with tenderness. The way he’s looking at me has my heart overflowing with love. He does this sometimes… he looks at me like I’m his every dream come true. Silas swallows hard as he cups my cheek, his thumb brushing over my lip. “So what is your wish for me?”

“I wish for you to be happy, Silas. Every second of every day, I want you to be happy.”
