The Words(125)

Author:Ashley Jade & A. Jade

Situating myself between his parted thighs, I gently circle the head of his dick with my tongue, tasting the salty liquid. “Is this for me?”

“You know it is.” The tendons in his throat flex with restraint, like me taking control is torture for him. “Stop fucking around, Groupie.”

It comes out like a warning. One I ignore.

Batting my eyelashes, I smile coyly, goading him. “What would you like me to do with this nice cock of yours?”

I was planning on drawing out the teasing, but he wraps my ponytail around his fist. “Give me your fucking mouth.”

The second my lips part, he shoves his crown inside. “Lick it.”

Wanting to drive him crazy, I teasingly lap at his tip like it’s a melting ice cream cone.

Cursing, he reaches down and squeezes a handful of my ass. “Lick all of it.”

Gripping his base, I drag the flat of my tongue up and down his thick shaft, savoring him.

He pulls my hair tighter. “Suck it.”

My mouth aches as it stretches, and I take him as far down as I possibly can. However, it’s not enough because he wants more.

Yanking my hair so hard my scalp stings, he slides in deeper, causing my gag reflex to kick in.

“That’s it,” he grunts as saliva drips from my chin onto his balls. “Let me fuck that sexy mouth.”

I’m in no position to protest—not that I would—when he raises his hips and starts thrusting so hard my jaw aches.

Cupping his sac, I relax my mouth as he clamps down on the back of my neck, holding me steady while he continuously pumps.

A feral sound tears out of him and he juts into my face, tightening his hold. “Swallow.” That’s the only warning I get before warm liquid fills my mouth. “Every fucking drop.”

I willingly do. Because the sight of Phoenix’s hooded eyes, clenched face, and mouth parted in pleasure while he’s staring at me like I’m the hottest thing he’s ever seen is everything.

A tremble goes through him when I release him and lick up the fluid that trickled out of my mouth and onto his balls. “Fuck.”

I yelp when he hauls me up and wraps his arms around me, clutching me to his chest. “Thanks. I needed that.”

I lightly trace the scar on his abdomen with my fingertip. I’m making a mental note to ask him about it at a later time when he rasps, “Ruptured spleen from the accident. I lost a little over three liters of blood.”

Holy crap. “Jesus.”

“Apparently, I coded in the ambulance. I don’t remember shit, but Storm does. He said it was the second scariest moment of his life and he never prayed harder.” A vitriolic laugh leaves him. “Too fucking bad. Maybe then I would have died.”

My heart plummets before compressing against my rib cage. Knowing he truly wishes he didn’t survive physically hurts.

“I was relieved when I heard you lived.” My eyelids grow heavy as the rhythm of his pulse lulls me to sleep. “You’re still here for a reason. And I hope like hell you figure out what that reason is before it’s too late…because the world can’t shine without Phoenix Walker.”

He sucks in a sharp breath.

“Quinn was right,” he murmurs into my hair. “I’m lucky to have you.”

A knot of alarm twists my insides.

Phoenix and I have a mountain of history. Awful. Messy. Painful history.

A few weeks of great sex and a couple of nice moments like these don’t erase our past.

“Only for the next three weeks and five days,” I remind him and me.

However, when I glance up, he’s already fast asleep.

Being careful not to wake him, I slip out of his arms and curl up on the opposite side of the bed.

I’m dozing off when I hear him whisper, “I know.”

CHAPTER 50

LENNON

Quinn’s eyes are as big as saucers when Phoenix leads her backstage. “Holy crap. I can’t believe my big brother is a rock star.”

Phoenix grins before his expression turns somber. “I can’t believe I have a little sister.”

“Whoa,” Quinn exclaims. “Don’t look so sad. The important thing is that we found each other, right?”

They share a smile, but the moment is short lived because Chandler—who’s walking alongside me—mutters, “Are those DNA results back yet?”

Skylar—who’s on the other side of me—sighs. “The test was done this morning. I’m having it expedited, but it’s still going to take some time.”
